After a few gigs in France, Benighted Soul hit the European roads supporting Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) during the "What Lies Beneath Tour 2010" (Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Italy).
In February, 2011, the band released their first full length album "Start From Scratch" on SAVAGE PROD / SEASON OF MIST, an ambitious project including a 20 people choir and philharmonic orchestrations.
Upon release, this debut album directly reached 1st rank in the FNAC Hard/Metal charts, and the 54th position all genres combined. "Start from Scratch" is now universally hailed by the international press and webzines.
In May, Benighted Soul kicked off their french "Start From Scratch Tour 2011" to meet a growing number of fans everywhere they played (Lyon, Brest, Nantes, Montpellier, Marseille, Nancy, Paris, Lille...).
They also produced and released their first music video "Edge of Insanity", directed by Vincent Giorgetti and broadcasted on this channel.
Benighted Soul is now broadcasted by the Francodiff' radios network (Francophonie Diffusion) and "Start from Scratch" is available on the main MP3 platforms such as iTunes.
The band is also preparing an upcoming European tour with Tarja Turunen (February 2012) and is working hard on the 2nd album...

Quelque part entre Metal Progressif et Metal Symphonique, Benighted Soul a trouvé sa propre voie en distillant de nombreuses influences soutenues par de riches orchestrations philharmoniques et un choeur. De la Pop au Metal extrême, le groupe transporte l'auditoire vers un univers dense et varié, loin des codes du Metal symphonique traditionnel aux consonnances médiévales ou "fantasy". Le chant féminin et caméléon de Géraldine, tantôt Rock et captivant, tantôt lyrique et cristallin, révèle les émotions d'Anesidora, mascotte du groupe et pièce maîtresse du nouvel et premier album : Start from Scratch.
Après une série de concerts français, Benighted Soul parcourt les routes européennes avec Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) en support du "What Lies Beneath Tour 2010" (Luxembourg, Allemagne, Autriche, Slovaquie, Italie).

Dès la 1ère semaine, le disque se hisse à la 1ère place des ventes Hard/Metal du réseau FNAC, et à la 54ème place tous styles confondus. Ce premier album est unanimement acclamé par la presse spécialisée et les webzines français ou internationaux.
En mai, Benighted Soul entame son "Start from Scratch Tour 2011" et arpente les scènes françaises pour rencontrer un public toujours plus nombreux partout où il se produit (Lyon, Brest, Nantes, Montpellier, Marseille, Nancy, Paris, Lille...).
Le groupe tourne et produit également son premier clip "Edge of Insanity", réalisé par Vincent Giorgetti et disponible sur cette chaîne.
Benighted Soul est désormais diffusé sur le réseau de radios Francodiff' (Francophonie Diffusion) et "Start from Scratch" est disponible sur les principales plateformes MP3 comme iTunes.
Le groupe prépare sa prochaine tournée européenne en compagnie de Tarja Turunen (février 2012) et travaille à son second album...
