Age has nothing to do with it. I'm just recently 31 and T.REX have been one of my fave bands since high school. Marc Bolan was a genius rock'n'roll poet his entire short life.

Your friends have absolutely no idea how freakin fantastic Marc Bolan and T.REX are. I have favorite tracks through his whole career even with the patchy later albums. Some of his late period "other worldy" songs that are both melancholy and beautiful are "Lifes An Elevator," "Pain and Love" and ...

Freakin' Morrissey and Paul Morley have no taste in Bolan passed 1973. The albums Zinc Alloy through Dandy have some fantastic songs on them (though BZGun has perhaps only 3 great songs) as well as influential tracks being mined and explored by current artists. They grow more and more appreciated...

Awesome track from Zinc Alloy. This song sounds like it could have been on Tanx. Love it. Lyrics are brilliantly nuts...as well as playful.

Always loved this late period T.REX track. Goes on every compilation I make.

Marc Bolan and T.REX will always be awesome. He had some brilliant late period work and you guys brilliantly covered one of those great tracks.

The name is "My Little Baby"

One of my absolute favorite late period T.REX songs. "Princess Outrage with deductible grave, screamed of my love but you know I was brave....Octagonic Angel measuring the stars, trying to run away with a chrome sitar." Brilliant surrealist rock.

Bolan's post 73 work was still influential! Ramones took the riff from this for "The KKK Took My Baby Away," Oasis wore a T.REX "New York City" shirt, TSAR stole the title "Calling All Destroyers," Adam Ant covered "Dandy in the Underworld," Hang Ups" sounds like the forgotten precursor to Moby's...

I used to not like this track when I was younger simply because it didnt have that classic fuzzy crunchy harder rock sound, but I actually quite like it now. This sounds like a light funky rock/soul number that I can totally hear Lenny Kravitz doing...except for the wonderfully insane gothic myth...

@reverendjimj The song is supposed to be absurd, Think along the lines of Beatles "Yellow Submarine." Its also infectious and fun with a classic Bolan boogie riff.

@imalovedrunk I actually quite like London Boys, though I prefer the more raw distorted version on the Alternate Futuristic Dragon CD. The song is also featured in the hit musical "20th Century Boy" in Ipswich England this year.

Sounds like the Ramones. Marc Bolan was/is awesome.
