Shh...just listen...

A few of us were musing over the possibility of winning the lottery...what would we do with the money??
There is a growing need for women to be represented not only in the US but on a global level, but again that is another blog haha. My bad and yes, I will get to the point. Has anyone ever heard of "GEMS"?? Well, anyway GEMS is an acronym that stands for "Girls Educational and Mentoring Services" and it was founded by victims of sex trafficking opportunists themselves. I stumbled upon the organization when I was bored one day and searching through netflix for something cool to watch. I noticed the documentary "Very Young Girls" and was intrigued that the crimes against these girls and young women were being committed right in our very own backyards. The women here were beaten and raped at times and left for dead. The system did not help them either. What was the most damaging for me, was when the mother of a young prostitute tried to reach out for help and even gave the name and location of where the pimp was keeping children, and the police did not help her at all. I was literally in tears as my heart suffered for that young mother in search of her daughter. People wake up, if this happens here in the US which is considered to be one of the greatest countries on earth, imagine in other countries and the plight of females of all ages!! What can we do? Girls have been killed at birth in some countries for being born a girl! Can you imagine? Girls have been given in marriage at tender ages, some still in diapers!!! Girls have been subjugated and getting some of their "sexual parts" torn from their bodies in order not to delight in sexual intimacy, one of the greatest pleasures a human can know!! Girls have been STONED and falsely accused in the name of religion so that their pedophile husbands can marry younger woman and no longer have to support them, fathers kill their daughters in the name of supposed honor killings, unfortunately, I can go on and on.
Okay so back to the lottery. Sad but true statement...this world and many a human heart is governed by the almighty dollar. Yes, dear friends, money makes the world go round. If I had all the money in the world guess what?? I would boldly initiate a campaign to unite, enrich, and empower my fellow WO-man called Operation FreeThem...but a girl can only dream...
