About . . . NADRI
Nadri is an Avant-garde, Acoustic and Improvisational musical ensemble with an ever-changing line-up. Nadri was formed in Belgrade [Serbia] around 2000 by a film director Vanja Srdić [Belgradonja], a data recovery expert Igor Šestanj [Shek00s] and a ''call-it-anything'' guy Gordan Stojačić [R'dan].
NADRI expression stands for a native improvisation in any art form, especially in Music. They use this term for any kind of Music performed by musicaly non-educated people/artists that touches your Mind and Soul deep within.
Nadri is a concept more than a classic music band. Members or any other people involved in playing aren't professionally educated in music. Everyone who has a certain music taste, who feels music and has no fear of improvisation can play any instrument, no matter if it's tuned or un-tuned. Nadri played on many improvised instruments assembled in nature or pre-made.
Nadri doesn't have rehearsals, classic ''stops and agains'', everything happens by chance in a certain moment. Improvisation is a result of their present surroundings, emotions, moods and personal instrumental skills. Nadri's guiding principle is ''Don't play what's there, play what's not there'' (Miles Davis' quote). Therefore, it's hard to name a genre, because Nadri is some kind of an unofficial genre for itself.
= Nadri Sessions & Sound quality :
Nadri makes many perchanced gatherings and social reunions which are reffered as ''Nadri Sessions''. Nadri Sessions take place anywhere the ensemble can play freely in peace and harmony, mostly in nature and in their members' homes. It's not unusual for anyone openminded to interact and play with them during those Sessions.
Most of Nadri recordings were made with non-professional audio equipment (Olympus Digital Recorder) and as such rawly uploaded on Nadri MySpace page. There's a use of professional equipment from time to time as well and it's provided by Nadri's closest companion - sound recording engeneer, Milos Drobnjakovic (from bands Nioba and Madcap).
