Gernika Lives a documentary about the bombing of Guernica, my father's homeland. Starring John Randolph.
About Me:

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia where my uneducated, poverty stricken twenty-one year-old father traveled to, with a bunch of his friends from Viscaya, one drunken night after making a bet to embark for America. In Bogotá, dad opened a bakery and named it, Guernica. Shortly there after became a success, and met my Colombian mother, who's father was also a Basque. By age two we were living in Guernica, and by age six the family moved to Hollywood, because my father was fascinated with cinema. Dad had spent his fearful Civil War days hiding from the bombs and the misery inside movie houses. He didn't know how to read and write, but knew every Hollywood star and movie. During my formative years from eleven to fourteen, I grew up in Guernica. Later in the eighties I returned to my beloved Basque Country to make a documentary for the 50th Anniversary of the bombing of Guernica. I brought my father with me, and we interviewed family and many of his childhood friends who then had become artists, politicians, and famous athletes. They recounted their memories of those tragic times. A television company in Galdakao produced the film, including putting me up in a lovely furnished apartment, with a generous stipend and a brand new car. It was an amazing year and a half while making GERNIKA LIVES. I was working as an actress in Hollywood and though successfully climbing the ladder to fame, I felt the need to returning to my roots, and explore those tools that later have giving me confidence to tell my unique story. Later, I was fortunate to return to Spain, to Barcelona, where I played the female lead in the CBS TV series "Dark Justice". I became enamored with the Mediterranean land and its people. Married a Catalán artist and had a daughter. My work is an integral part of my life, and the source of my inspiration. I express creatively through writing, filmmaking, editing, painting, singing, and acting. I am the playwright of TERESA'S ECSTASY, and so proud to be involved in the upcoming premier, early next year at the Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC. I hope you can join us. Visit www.teresasecstasy.com
The next chapter in my life, I want to explore further, that other part of me, that is so dear, the Colombian side, the indigenous Latin American side with all its magical extremism.

Hi, Begonya! Loved you in "Dark Justice"! It was one of my favorite shows growing up! Wish it would be released on DVD!

Salvador Dali is my favorite painter! Good luck with getting your "The Persistence of Memory" made into a movie! Robert Downey Jr. (one of my favorite actors) would be great as Dali!

Tenga un buen día!
