Dear Friends,

What a long strange trip it's been! I have met so many wonderful people on this journey! Never did I think my involvement on YouTube would evolve into this when we lost Dan and I felt overwhelmingly compelled to create a tribute to him which started out as solely a personal affirmation between myself and Dan. I didn't even have a YouTube account at that time and the closest I came to YT was the occasional video someone would send me in email. In fact I had never even touched video producing software!

So many things have happened since that sad day in December 2007 and I learned of Dan's passing on the airwaves driving to work. I had to pull over, catch my breath, close my eyes and send him Godspeed on his new journey. I, like everyone, knew of Dan's illness and really believed he would beat it. It saddened me greatly that he suffered more than we all really knew yet the most recent pictures of him, which Jean graciously shared with everyone, shows a man at peace despite it all. I especially love the picture Jean shared of Dan ice skating late at night with a huge smile on his face...... Not long before his passing. But of course he was smiling, he was finally with the love of his life and was determined to make the best of his time with her. And Dear Jean, how we all wish we could have been there for you during your loving care of this man and sharing personal experiences down to the heart wrenching release of his soul in The Reach. You have transcended fan into friend into family.

Over the past couple of years I was blessed with the gift of Live performances by a couple of fans which gave me the ability to share with others. So many of you have messaged me and commented on the videos, some of the messages and comments have touched me deeply. Due to personal time constraints, and the unfortunate mass take down of videos by the record companies over the past year or so, I have not attended to the channel the way it deserved. I stopped uploading videos, waiting to see if the witch hunt would resolve, hoping to preserve the channel and the existing uploaded videos. The take down, block of videos, and forced closing of channels still continue today. Surely that is not what Dan had in mind when he blessed us with Part Of The Plan. I'm certain Dan would have smiled at his fans interpretation of his songs. He certainly had the mindset that music is for sharing and exploring together. It is the universal language. Dan certainly had the language down pat and no less his varied and numerous instrument expertise down to the written note for each one.

Because of that, I leave you all with my last upload, today on Dan's 60th birthday. The channel will remain, God willing, for all to enjoy the gifts he left us. I thank you all in advance for your appreciation of my vision of Dan's profound musical genius. It is quite impossible to answer each and every one of your messages individually, but do know that I see them! Dan, a man who sang of love, stars, mountains, the sea, human emotion, earthly and unearthly things in a way that tugged at your heart and reached into your soul like no other can.

So Dear friends, be safe and persevering in your own journey Along The Road. I will always feel connected to you all. Adieu.
