About Before the Solstice

This is both the official Before the Solstice youtube channel, and my vehicle to protest against the shunning practices of Jehovah's Witnesses. I upload a lot of original music videos on here and have a lot more planned. The same is true with my videos aimed at helping people make sense of life after religion and in particular the Jehovah's Witnesses, the religion I was raised in. I hope that you enjoy this channel!

Before the Solstice is a melodic rock band from Atlanta that stumbles across the boundaries of genres, leading them to conceive of a new term to define their sound: Quantum Rock. Front man, Clint Bussey left his solo singer/songwriter track and got together with bassist/keyboardist, J.W. Popovits in 2007. With the addition of drummer, Tony Runco and lead guitarist, Matt Norris, Before the Solstice began recording and performing tirelessly.

The band's live performances are fascinating as Popovits handles the keys and bass simultaneously and Bussey's passion and angst permeates the room.

The band independently released their self-titled debut album in 2010. In June '10, Before the Solstice played LIVE in the studio of Atlanta's best rock station, 99X and performed in the 99X sponsored Downtown Sounds event at The Hard Rock Cafe. The band has songs in regular rotation on 99X's Local's Only and 89.1fm's New Driven Radio program. Before the Solstice was showcased in several of Atlanta's summer music festivals, including Hijacking Music Festival, NoPhest, and Strange Daze Music and Arts Festival.
