About Me:

Hi I'm Lee Foster, Welcome to my channel. I am a singer/songwriter who has written well over 500 songs an I have recorded an produced around 300 songs to date. usually I play every instrument an sing every lead an backing vocal on my tracks. I also had a long love of poetry an have written around 400 poems . I started writing songs at the age of 13. Most of my early tracks were raps with odd singing parts in 1996 at the age of 15 I wrote an anti bullying song for a highschool drama play in which I played a bully who changed his ways when one of his victims commit suicide I sang the song at the end of the play which led to highschool fame. I think that serious song was the begining of my observational,educational style of songwriting. I continued to write songs that MAKE PEOPLE THINK an songs that challenge ever since. Many of my songs deal with big issues an struggles that some of us face in life. In late 1999 I got a piano and a djx keyboard an I began to jam an practice for years trying to develop my own sound .. I used to record these 90 min jam sessions an play the tape back an see if anything sounded good an if it did then I would sit down with my pen an pad an write words for the ideas an create songs ... My songs in those days were mainly experimental uptempo indie/dance/pop but I was also comming up with the odd ballad. I was always a free spirit who believed I could do anything I wanted both in life an as a musician an I was never gonna restrict myself to just one form of music. IN 2007 my beloved DJX keyboard broke an I was unable to create music for my tracks so I came up with acapellas like MAN NEEDS TO BE ALONE an I began to discover the joys of samples an loops to create music for my tracks. In 2008 borrowed my brothers classical acoustic guitar an began to create something new yet again an started singing in a very NORTHERN Way ... This I believe is my true sound an the sound I was searching for ..100s of acoustic tracks would follow an I took my song writing an producing to the next level with songs like JUDGEMENT DAY .. NURSING HOME .. RADIO SONG. i would create beats with pots an pans // claps .. bisto .salt shakers...you name it .. an also I would sometimes throw in the odd sample .. My music is an extension of my soul ..an really is honest an revealing an full of REALNESS that is often lacking from most other songwriters ... I am 30years old an have lived a fairly eventful life an been many different places some dark , some not so dark. I have a song for almost every occasion an experience that this world has to offer. I aint a saint .... I been a 'bad boy' ..I been a good guy .. I experienced REAL LOVE . I experienced death,pain,victory,loss,regret ,wealth, extreme poverty , betrayal, violence .fun . tragedy etc .... i made alot mistakes .. But I came thru good in the end ... My music is always a reflection of who i am at the time of writing an whoever you are an where ever you are an whatever you llike or whatever you dont like ....I beleive I have a song for you ..cos I pretty much done it all .. In 2010 I started recording videos ..including the comedy movie SWEET DAVES - DIARY PROUCT .. you will find as you listen to my work an watch my videos .. I have a love of comedy an a love of controversy an avoiding being easy listening ..both musically an lyrically .... Theres alot of people singing songs an writing songs .. But not many who are as bold an unique as I am. An I have devoted most of my life creating all the work that is scattered around here on this channel ... a word of advice when listening to the home demos.. LOAD MORE! lol ... I uploaded my best songs 1st an was putting up the left overs towards the end ..... Will I make any new music in the near future? ... I am currently working on a rap project with 2 other leeds rappers which should bear some fruits .. an I have already written a script for the next SWEET DAVE movie .. which will be awesome .. I aint gonna ask people to tell me how great I am. I am gonna tell you how great I am ... I am the real maccoy an I gave music,comedy an creativity my all an as a songwriter I am on a different level to almost anyone else out there . .. This aint no brag ... I only got to this level because I worked harder than anyone else out there ....... an all that hard work an passion is right here for your viewing an listening pleasure ....
