About this user

Probably closer to Miller a few years ago. I work a fairly boring job at the Post Office as a rare NICE, HELPFUL window clerk. Been with them for 23 yrs now. Born August 26, 1962. Still feel like a 25 year old. Been remarried since 1999 and now with two very beautiful girls, one just 4, the other 6 1/2. Please..postal jokes are passe'

Interests
Music, concerts or live music, playing the guitar or bass (still learning). Photography. Brewing good beer. I'm a beer snob of sorts. Hate cheap beer. Like some wines, like ASTI. Growing up in OK, I learned how to SAFELY handle and shoot firearms of all sorts. A nice machinegun guy. (yes, they and silencers are legal in my state and a real blast to shoot cans, not used for crime or insanity. You have to go through lots of background checks and pay the Gov $200 per item) I hate innocent people dying including unborn children. Murderers? No excuses. They can take a bullet to the head. There's not enough room on planet earth for those that have no respect for human life. Sometimes I hunt (if you eat hamburgers, don't grip about that),and sometimes fish, like a lot in this area at my age. Like to bike, on road or off. Some people disagree with hunting but if some of us didn't do it, there would be many more killed by autos each year and humans are taking more and more of their living space. Hunters care for and finacially support more wildlife areas than non-hunters through licensing, etc. I'm basically conservative on most issues except areas of art and expression. I still struggle with the concept of religion. Sounds great. I catch myself praying at times. Wonder if I'm heard. Wonder if man just made it up to feel better about those he loves dying and not gaining anything from it. I don't believe one should follow a religion just because their parents and grandparents went a certain way. That makes it more of a "tradition", not some personal moving experience. It seems to depend on where you were born more than anything else. Otherwise, you're looked at as a traitor to the common idealisms. I have no connection with the Arab world, despite my last name. I find it ironic that it is one of only a very few that "GOD" in the Bible gave to man himself. Ishmaels came to the U.S. at least 175-200 years ago. If it's in the book of Genesis, it's a pretty old name I'd think.....sometimes, I wish it was Doe.
