At 1:46 you can clearly see this is a Deluxe model so it is indeed one of the V W custom basses. I should have caught that!

First time I've seen Mark use a looping device. Nothing wrong with adding this to his solos but I prefer just the 4 strings, not 16 as Freakcent mentioned.

He is a master at slapping but few note his great melodic harmonics.

I lucked out with 6th row floor seats to see the JT/CK Troubador show. JT is one of our national treasures. Seeing one of his shows should be on your bucket list if you are a fan of his music.

You can't compare Gene to Entwistle or Burton. His talent is in crafting catchy and melodic bass lines that fit the song. Throw in a great voice and stage presence. Good enough for me.
