i'm the son of chinese american immigrants from the philippines. i was raised in oklahoma city. i moved to nyc to study dramatic writing at nyu's tisch school. i'm an original cast member of the tony award-winning def poetry jam on broadway. i've appeared on every season of hbo's russell simmons presents def poetry. i've been on two national poetry slam championship teams. i co-wrote and performed in norman lear's declare yourself road trip. i wrote a night without armor II: the revenge. i love to write. i hope to one day cook as well as my mother does.
