The Dublin Fringefest called the band's style a "revolutionary fusion of jazz, funk, hip hop and world styles". Beat' n Blow is a very energetic 9-piece marching band playing acoustic dance music arranged for voices, horns and drums. With a singer, two drummers, two trumpets, tuba, trombone and two saxophones, the band creates a unique sound and live experience that leaves no audience untouched.

The band was founded in 1994 as a street marching act.
They toured Italy in two old Volkswagen busses and never looked back. 1996 saw the release of the band's first instrumental album, 'Modern Brass'. It took the band a while to release their second album in 2003, 'Time', which featured the singers Kati La Voix and Uli Wolf for the first time who are also two profilic writers and contributed most of the songs on the album.
In 2006, the band relased their breakthrough and trademark album , „Sound of BlasMusik", which branded the band's sound. The single „Girl" went on 6 month rotation on German radio (Funkhaus Europa/radio multiculti) and won the Carnival of Cultures-songcontest in 2007.

Over the years the band became a sought-after stage act and went on to play festivals and concerts in Rome, Athens, Dublin, Breda/NL, Eindhoven, Luxembourg, Bruxelles, Durham/GB and all over Germany.

In September 2009 the band realeased their fourth album 'Hund ohne Leine' (Dog off a leash). With this album, beat 'n blow is finally "unleashed", perfectly demonstrating the future of urban brass. Stompin and pumpin' grooves, striking horns and the powerful charismatic voice of Katie LaVoix propell brass music into pop and worldbeat heaven.

beat 'n blow ist die hochenergetische, 9 köpfige Berliner Marching-Band, die tanzbare Musik aus akustischen Instrumenten zusammenbraut. Bestehend aus einer Sängerin, zwei Trommlern, zwei Trompeten, Posaune, zwei Saxofonen und Tuba kreiert die Band einen einzgartigen Sound und ein Liveerlebnis, das jeden Zuhörer in seinen Bann zieht. Das Dublin Fringefest bezeichnete den Stil der Band als „revolutionäre Mischung aus Jazz, Funk, HipHop und World Styles.
Die Band wurde 1994 als instrumentale Strassenband gegründet. Ohne sich einen Kopf zu machen tourte die Band in zwei alten VW-Bussen aufs Geratewohl durch Italien. Den ersten Release gab es 1996 mit dem Instrumental-Album „modern brass. Nach dem Konzeptalbum „Songs brauchte es eine Weile bis zur nächsten Veröffentlichung, „Time im Jahr 2003. Hier wurden zum erstenmal die Sänger Katie LaVoix und Uli Wolf gefeatured, die beide auch ausgezeichnete Songwriter sind.
Im Jahr 2006 veröffentlichte die Band ihr richtungsweisendes Album „Sound of BlasMusik, das das einzigartige Konzept der Band greifbar umsetzte. Die Single-Auskopplung „Girl! lief sechs Monate in der Rotation von Funkhaus Europa, radio multikulti und Radio Bremen und gewann 2007 den Karneval der Kulturen Song-Contest.
Im Lauf der Jahre wurde die Band zum vielgefragten Bühnen-Act und spielte Festivals und Konzerte in Rom, Athen, Dublin, Breda, Eindhoven, Luxemburg, Brüssel, Durham und kreuz und quer durch Deutschland.
Im September 2009 veröffentlichte die Band ihr viertes Album Hund ohne Leine. Mit diesem Album hat sich die Band engültig von allen Fesseln befreit und präsentiert unnachahmlich die Zukunft des urban brass.
Kickende Grooves, messerscharfe Bläser und die charismatische Powerstimme von Katie LaVoix treiben die Bläsermusik in den popmusik und worldbeat Himmel.
Die Liveauftritte der Band werden in ganz Europa frenetisch bejubelt also Hintern hoch, Ohren auf und abgehottet!

The Sound of BlasMusik

Established in 1993 in Berlin, rollt die 1A Qualitäts-Brassband durch Europa. Als Retter der BlasMusik leisten sie auf Konzerten und Festivals von den Niederlanden bis Italien erste Hilfe, wahlweise auch die letzte Ölung.

Mit Horns, Drums und Vocals wiedergeboren als Reinkarnation des legendären Bert Kaempfert Orchesters featuring Sly & The Family Stone bestimmt beat'n blow die Zukunft des rock steady easy listening brass-band funk.
