About Me:
Sprung out of the DIY Punk Rock Israeli scene, Beat69 always stood out in the crowd. They are young, probably the youngest professional band ever to be active in Israel; they are considered as extremely talented musicians; and most of all the sound that Loral (Drums), 16, Bery (Guitar) 16, and Raanan (Bass, Lead singer), 17, generate is unique in the Israeli musical landscape.
Since its early days, Beat69 never ceased to perform. The band has shared stages with many major artists in Israel, amongst major local acts, such as: Monica Sex, Sheygets, Ninet Tayeb (first season winner of the Israeli version of American Idol). The later has requested the band to rearrange her songs to Pop Punk versions. They also been invited to perform live on national TV several times, with their own versions to all time Jewish holidays classics and TV classic songs. For the past two years, Beat69 has participated in nationwide scale festivals such as Tel Aviv Beer City Festival, Coca Colas Music Village, Cellcomm Volume, Rock Atzmaut and Boombamela, as headliners.
Since its signing on 2005 in the indie label High Fiber, the band released two albums and 4 radio DJs. Its first radio DJ, Kmo Shelach, became a huge hit in Israel and due to it, Beat69 was declared as The Most Promising Act in the Israeli Music Television awards 2006. The bands second radio DJ, Oogot Gvina was received well on radio and TV and its video blasted into the charts of the Israeli Music Television. On August 2007 the band recorded its second album, which was released on April 2008. The first radio DJ from it Kol HaBanot became a national hit and remained on the radio play lists all over the country for over a month. If not enough, during 2007-2008 Beat69 had their own column in the leading teen magazine of Israel, "Rosh 1", in which they cover Punk Rock bands from Israel and abroad and give advices to young bands.
These days the band is working on new materials while promoting their music all over Israel.
