You probably have already figured out that it is better to not quite grind the blade all the way to a finished sharp edge until after the handle shaped. It didn't take me long to learn that little trick for keeping my blood on the inside.

Meh, Why bother, to make quite an effective weapon, take new wooden pencil, sharpen the point, done. Of course you would also need to know how to use it as a weapon in order for it to be deadly, so the rest of the world is still pretty safe, from you at least

Yes, it does have wings, they are just not "fixed wings" like you are use to seeing. Autogyros and Gyrocoptors are airplanes, strange ones yes, but still airplanes. And far from the most strange.
