Ray Bourques winning the cup with the Avs is probably one of the best sports stories to ever be told and it was unbelievable to watch happen. Watching the way Joe handed the cup to Ray cemented Joe as the greatest of all time in my book.

@bigndn82 Brush up on your Nordiques history, they became contenders with Forsberg not Roy. Granted Roy did put goaltending issues to rest in Colorado. As much as I hated him(being my rival, montreals goalie), Roy was a warrior. And he got into players heads better than any goalie I've ever seen....

What made the Nordiques/Avalanche cup contenders wasnt Roy, although he was the last peice of the puzzle, it was the Lindros/Forsberg trade. Forsberg was the epitome of a "power-forward", while the "next One" Lindros, couldnt keep his head up going through the neutral zone.
