Mine's a 5 x 5 as well, resemblances are striking, stamped on the engine but again with no other marks to elude to it's maker. Guy i bought it off of said somebody told him it was made in Pennsylvania?? Go figure. I'm trying to build a boat, but need obviously some type of reverse... looking into...

runs and looks great! I'm assuming that it has a "D" slide valve? Does this engine use a spring to hold the valve against the seat? My single has no spring and occasionally, you have to shake the engine for it to seat up otherwise the steam going in redirects straight for the exhaust.

@bilgerat Thanks for your imput! i've made several friends from the forum through a local steam meet. The injector/blow down is a bit confusing but there is a valve for all "outlets" although there is but one outlet which branches to the safety, injector, output, ect. I guess this was ok in 1940 ...
