Before saved, thought Christian music sucked. Now I like a lot of it, and it's less cheezy than it used to be.

I'm disturbed by how little time we spend in the Bible, how easy it is to do so, how soundbyte-oriented our songs are. Sara Groves is an exception. So I sing the bible- take a section, pray the Holy Spirit inspire me, turn on the digital recorder, start playing and singing.

What you hear is all on the spot- little or nothing has been composed ahead of time. Spontaneous music is more real and interesting. I'm not the best singer, but that's an opportunity for God to shine through or past my weakness. You can hear my guitar abilities, a gift from God, a great outlet for my emotions.
