Sridevi's character is tripped out of her mind in the film. She plays a hardcore druggie, and hence the psychedelic, trippy nature of the video.

It's a tribute. You don't compare tributes with the original.

The whole Hindu-Muslim banter is juvenile guys, seriously, give it a rest. It was quite common in the Mughal court to have a Hindu Radha-Kishan themed dance routine as you know, Jodha, Akbar's empress, was Hindu herself. You can see this in shots of Jodha's expressions in this song itself.
