...vintage portables and the batteries that power them.
About Me:

Collector of early tube portable radios and transistor sets. Also make working reproduction batteries for them. The portables you see in the background are a few from my collection.

As to my subscription choices--I'm equal opportunity. I could care less what sex, race or orientation you are. I only care about two things: What are you doing, and how are you doing it.

As Chance the Gardener said in "Being There", "I like to watch...." :-)
Hometown:
Indianapolis, Indiana
Country:
United States
Interests:
Old radios, 45 rpm players, early television, silent films, older movies, old telephones.
Movies:
Mythbusters, DIY Network, some sitcoms. If it's about restoration, then I'm interested in it.
Music:
Wide range--classical, smooth jazz, big band, late 60's and 70's rock.
Books:
Mostly non-fiction. If it's about radio, you can count on my nose being in it.

Hello Bill, this is Charles Eaton from west memphis Arkansas,I like your 1939 Majestic 130 portable radios. you can see my majestic 130 on Utube under vaughn 553 .I have had mine for 20 years, and never had to repair any part,it still plays fine.there is a Motorola portable in the video too.I use a tube with 3 volt flat batterys for b + ,these batterys come in a pack of 100 we use for electric meters at the light company I work for, they were free.

I just was reviewing some of your videos and discovered the news that your mom had passed and that you have some medical issues. First off, let me say how sorry I am for your loss. I also am hoping that your medical issues have been resolved. I had already sent you one message and wished I had known about your troubles before I interupted your grief and pain with a message from within Youtube concerning my trivial inquiry.

I sincerely wish you and your family happiness and good health. Thanks for the videos you have posted. I have found them most interesting, educational and informative. I look forward to viewing more of your videos when I get the time.

God bless,

Androx ( Andy)
