minus one together

every bit of flame begins to float away
disappear in dark or can it feel
whispers something bringing back the memories
of what was strong
take my hand walk down to the fallen tide
run with outstretched arms like when you were five
grab the broken flower feel it soft inside
like when we were young

then suddenly it comes to me you're gone

waiting for waves to crash on the side of us
sink our ship or sail upon the rougher waters
for fear it will come again but with a tougher heart
like the stone in side
fast approaching now I run with all my might
I run not looking back I run with eyes closed tight
for the warm for the feeling of your skin again
like I know I could

then suddenly it comes to me you're gone

if i could find now what would i see
would you be smiling again would i find you happy
would you be dancing again would you feel light
like you were then, like you were then
