Bath Guitar School Band 2010 | Party in the City Bath Guitar School Band 2010 | Party in the City The Bath Guitar School Band performed at the Bath International Music Festival's Party in the City event in Parade Gardens, central Bath on Friday 28th May 2010. The band wowed the audience with their set of classic rock covers, and surprised many with a rocked up version of Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face'!! There are confirmed reports that the band were soo loud that young children had been left literally clinging on for their lives at the front of the stage. One spectator exclaimed that their three year old daughter was knocked off her feet as the band began to perform. Upon further inspection, the recording equipment was found to have irreparable damage due to the uncontrollable volume levels. One local resident was noted to have called the local police station when they felt a huge rumble and a power dropout as the band tore into their raucous rendition of the Undertones 'Teenage Kicks'! http://www.bathguitarschoolband2010.wordpress.com

About Bath Guitar School

Bath Guitar School is Bath's only dedicated rock and pop guitar school specialising in guitar tuition offering private one-to-one tuition in either Acoustic or Electric guitar. Each taught session is tailored to suit each student's individual taste and ability.

The school offers tuition at all levels, from complete beginner through to advanced. Students can choose, if they wish, to study the accredited Rockschool syllabus and achieve certification of their playing.

The Bath Guitar School offers its students unique opportunities to attend guitar workshops, take part in performances at the renowned Bath International Music Festival as well as offering guitar lesson video recaps via YouTube.

Richard Perkins is one of Bath's most popular guitar teachers, with 10 years guitar teaching experience there is a wealth of knowledge to be passed on to any guitarist young or old.

Described as "One to watch", Richard Perkins is an exponent of the new age of vocational music courses available in the UK. He achieved a HND in Popular Music at Oxford College before receiving a Commercial Music Degree with Hons at the renowned Bath Spa University.

Richard now runs Bath Guitar School, where he offers private one to one guitar tuition, guitar band workshops and student bands. The school, which has gained much acclaim in the local and national press, including appearances on BBC Radio, the CiTV kids show 'Skillicious' and a review in The Mail on Sunday, now accommodates over 70 students travelling from all over the UK.

Richard's guitar and teaching ability has caught the attention of many within the industry. As well as being a lecturer at City of Bath College, Richard is a guitar faculty member for the International Guitar Foundation where he teaches annual guitar courses at both the London Guitar Festival (South Bank Centre) and the Cheltenham Guitar Festival. Richard is also the exam co-ordinator for the IGF/Rockschool awards and the head tutor at the South West Rock Camp.

As well as becoming a respected educator Richard is also an active performer, currently performing alongside award winning guitarist Stuart Ryan under the guise of the Bath Guitar Duo.

Richard offers guitar holidays in France in partnership with Creative Vacances.
