About Carlos I. Rios/Drummer From Puerto Rico
Started playing about age 16 in local rock bands in Puerto Rico studying w/ various local teachers. Started to study formally at the St. Louis Conservatory of Music w/ Richard O'Donnell and then transferred and graduated at the Philadelphia College for the Performing Arts
(now the University of the Arts) getting a Bachelor's degree. Later completed a master's degree in Jazz performance at NYU studying w/ Elliot Zigmund.
Traveled w/ various pop bands playing the "Holiday Inn "circuit" and as a local drummer in St. Louis for 2 years where I had established some friendships w/ other musicians.
Back in PR have been teaching at a local Youth Orchestra program, doing studio recordings, playing the local circuits as well as teaching privately and finished my own original musical project, Drum-In!!!
