@ifsasse -- you're right that people of all kinds of religious and ethnic backgrounds came out to stop the EDL, but people of all kinds of sexuality were there too. the EDL and the racists are only to keen to paint Muslims as anti-gay bigots. so anti-gay remarks just the play into hands of the ED...

remember playing this at 6am at mate's house party in Worthing, summer day with the sun streaming in through the window and shivers running up people's spines. beautiful tune, but also kinda mournful, as if it marks the end of an era - which I suppose it did.

About bat020's channel
had The Way The Were on VHS myself and watched it countless times as a teenager in the 1980s. introduced me to Magazine, Joy Division, Iggy Pop etc. thanks for uploading at such high quality. any chance of any more snippets from the same show?
