About Me:

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting my channel. I'll start by introducing myself: Bastiaan Zijlstra. 27 years. Born, raised up and still living in the Netherlands. A supply chain planner during working hours. A guitar player during my spare time.

I play guitar since I was a little child. Always have been, and highly probably always will be just another amateur who enjoys creating and covering music so you (hopefully) can enjoy listening to it. However, since a few years I do this in just a 'different' way, and I'm not doing this by myself.

Early 2008 I met someone due to YouTube. It's someone I've never met in real-life, I've never spoken with (no phone calls, no videochat), it's someone who lives his own life 5,000 miles from where I live mine. However, your and my World is smaller than most people believe or like us to believe. We've found out that difference and distance are relatives. Also when it comes to making music. With only our personal computers, instruments, and an internet connection at our disposal, we've been making music for over two years now. And we're not planning to stop doing that.

The guy I talk about is (in my humble opinion) a living legend. His name is Jimmy Gelhaar and he's from Denver, Colorado. Together with Jimmy I've made covers of classic songs like 'Hotel California' by the Eagles (which took us a month to create) and 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin (which took us more than one half year to create). It takes some patience, but it's worth every minute, trust me on that. We're now busy with some new covers and also our own album, planned to be released this year.

Want to know more about me? Please visit my website: www.bastiaan77.nl
And no worries, it's in English too. Just press the English flag.

Thank you for taking the time to read my short introduction. And... please, don't hesitate to leave a comment and/or ask a question!

Kind regards, Bastiaan

All of the hidden archetypes found in these lyrics never cease to amaze me. The two of you are extremely talented, and I like how you brought this song into the 21st century with the piano overture. I've now shared this video with my friends. Thanks for covering this song, it was a treat!
