Carl Gardner has been playing bassoon for six years now. Carl is 17 years of age currently, and is a Junior in high school. His past achievements include: being first chair in California All-State Honor Band, first chair California All-State Honor Orchestra, a full scholarship to the Idyllwild summer arts program, and receiving the Summer Music at Stanislaus chamber scholarship two years in a row. Carl mainly performs classical bassoon literature but loves to play jazz and actually plays bari sax in his school's jazz band.
