@therealJodan It is an octaver pedal. I use one and it sounds exactly like that. It really helps fill up the sound especially in a 3pc setting when the guitarist goes off on a solo because i play a note and the pedal duplicates it just an octave lower.

This was from Austin City Limits. Available in the SRV box set and there is a bonus DVD with this show on it and looks as though it was filmed yesterday. Incredible sound and picture quality.
