I am a fan of all kinds of music--from the Beatles to the Clash to Antony & the Johnsons to Miles Davis. I also like good films, of any genre. I am particularly fond of the Coen Brothers, Fritz Lang, Orson Welles and David Lynch. I read lots of political commentary, but like classic fiction/poetry, such as Dickens and Poe, and non-fiction--give me Orwell any day, but I am also particular to Dawkins and Hitchens.

I am quite happy to describe myself as progressive and atheist.
