About Me:

Spanish clarinettist Cristo Barrios is recognized as one of the most exciting clarinettists of his generation. Future highlights include the première of Clarinet Concerto No. 2 by Nino Díaz with the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev, concerts with the Emerson String Quartet and recitals in Perú, Argentina, Brasil, Portugal and Spain. Furthermore he will do master classes at the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Sibelius Academy of Music in Helsinki and the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Recent engagements have included recitals at the London Cadogan Hall, Konzerthaus Wien, recital and master class at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Conservatory, recitals at the Spanish National Auditorium in Madrid and at the Berlin Konzerthaus, and a recital and master class at the Zürich University of Arts. Barrios also performed with the Endellion and Arditti String Quartets, after his debut performance at the Wigmore Hall, his exciting tour with the Brodsky String Quartet and a brilliant debut recital at the Carnegie Hall.
