I think that anyone who has debt and wants to eliminate it should be able to. This is what the October 2005 change eliminated. At the same time Banks have been allowed to charge interest rates of 37%. If you are making 60 grand a year and live alone and you owe 100 grand in credit card debt then you would be paying 37 grand a year in interest. Further, you would not be allowed to file and that is wrong. I believe that you just witnessed the greatest cash grab in the history of our country. I also believe that something beyond a recession is headed our way. People are still living off credit. Soon there will be none left.
