Baetylus or Bethel or vaitylos is a word denoting a sacred stone, which was supposed to be endowed with life.
These fetish objects of worship were meteoric stones, which were dedicated to the gods or revered as symbols of the gods themselves.

Our group met in the end of 2003 while composing music for the ancient greek play, "Birds". It was quite a challenge for us, since we chose to apply rock sounds to a classic theatrical piece. The outcome fulfilled our vision; it was an original piece of work, harmonizing modern sounds with a classic theatrical content.

Our common musical preferences and quests urged us to keep on experimenting with new sounds and trends, even after the completion of our first project.
