Steel case ammo is ok for plinking but I would never trust my life with it although I have used it alot lately cause it's so cheap it has run flawlessly through my M4 so far I still keep alot of brass ammo stocked up as well.

I have the exact same model got it when I was a kid just recently found it in the back of the gun safe and started using it again after 25 years in storage still works great

If that were the case wouldn't the steel case be stuck in the breech and have to be removed with a rod down the barrel? Also wouldn't the steel case be damaged from the extractor? I wonder if the ammo is low charged and not cycling the bolt all the way.

Shot this ammmo for the first time last weekend just to see for myself at less than $5.00 for a box of 20 is a great buy the accuracy sucked but had no misfires or malfunctions it ran fine through my DPMS

You mentioned the take down pins being installed backwards? Who installs them you or do they come installed already?

@tubevideoguy762 I got my DPMS for $680 as for ammo 100 rounds for $20 bucks can only mean steel case.

I love Magpul I have a trigger guard and bad lever on my m4

My father is a Vietnam vet he told me back then they used 20 round mags on the m16 but only loaded 17 bullets in them.

Nice build since your into magpul stuff might I suggest a trigger guard quick easy and inexpensive upgrade.

Were you able to install this yourself or do you need a gunsmith?

I agree with you on optics I spent about the same on a tactical true glow red dot and I love it although next year I hope to save enough for an Eotek but until then this works just fine. Nice AR build by the way

Ever since I put a bad lever on my m4 when using my old metal 30 round magazines the bolt doesn't stay open after last round fired.when I use Pags it works just fine have you had or heard of this problem?

How accurate is it? What kind of grouping are you getting @ 100 yards or farther?

The steel case doesn't give a good seal like you get with brass so there is alot of blow by in the chamber when shooting there are pros and cons when it comes to the cheap steel case ammo.

@ Thecircus45 No I wasn't able to see how he did it he was showing someone else on the squad how to get there on foot I should have suicide and spawned on him then I would know the way but I'm positive they got up there on foot wish I could remember his gamer tag to ask.

There are several inexpensive upgrades you can do on your own no need for gunsmith. I love mine but I agree should have gone with a flat top upper.

I went with a Blackhawk 3 point universal swift sling with the quick cam buckle can transition to weak side for instance if you needed to look around a corner so in essence it becomes a 1 point sling then with a pull of a strap your back to 3 point

@VolunteerMinimum Yes as a parent that is understandable I only carry condition1 when at home my pistol is stored empty with a full mag hidden close by up high on ledge out of sight and reach of children.
