The 9 mm has light recoil and is fairly accurate out of a M9/92FS. It is easier and faster to put 2 in the head with a 9mm than a 40 S&W. I'll stick to what I'm comfortable with.
Though I must say my 1911 in .45 ACP is a joy to shoot, though it wouldn't be my first choice of sidearm.
