I play guitar, and sometimes when I see virtuosos I want to "burn my guitar." But then I see people like this guy, who I discovered in THIS youtube session, and I just get really happy that there are members of my world that can do this.

I never got this album until I read a book by Tommy James of the Shondells fame. Then I listened to this and compared it with the bubblegum he was coming up with. Such a primal departure from that--the true beginnings of rock and roll. Awesome.

Good song. Bad camerawork. This isn't MTV.

What's funny about this video is that Hester gets only a few steps' head start from the other corner of the field toward Knox and still almost catches up with him, not even trying that hard.

@Chronicpleasure You are an idiot. Yes, Pete sounds a bit like a rambling old man here, but he is twenty times the legend Jack White is. As soon as Pete hits the chords of the seeker, the entire Who energy comes back. Some guitarists have the entire key to their style in their fingers. He is one.

Actually what's funny is, he has the same exact style here that Townshend does: sloppy, mistake-ridden, powerful, medlodic, assertive. Same as Keith Moon. Those three guys were on a wavelength only they got. Supposedly other musicians didn't like jamming with them much, but The Who was of the sam...

You can do whatever you want with your own music, but Jesus, if I had written a masterpiece like this. I would make this a concert experience so euphoric as to ruin concerts for the rest of my audience's life. And it would be easy to do, just full instrumentation and ENERGY. Not this bullshit.
