This is the home of the paranormal investigation television show: Crossing the River.
Crossing The River wants to be more than just a TV show; we want to create an atmosphere that invites viewers to feel like they're right there with us in the dark; exploring spooky places and jumping when things start to happen.
Our research will be based mostly on what actual physical evidence we can collect; be it on: still camera, video or digital voice recorders.
We will not be using psychics; as, often, there is no way to confirm or deny what a psychic may claim to be happening at any given location.
We will be using mostly hand-held camcorders to record our personal experiences during each investigation.
We will also be using the hand-helds to create a direct connection to our viewers -- turning the cameras on ourselves to share our: experiences, feelings, fears and sometimes our frustrations -- all to give the viewer the chance to feel like they are a part of the team.
Each investigation will include an interview with at least one person familiar with the location; be it a: home-owner, employee, etc. There will also be a tour of the site and a segment wherein Michelle shares some of the historical data she's been able to find.
Once the tour is complete we conduct "vigils" in various locations; attempting to communicate with whatever entity or entities may be there. These vigils are where we can really personalize the show, and talk one on one to viewers.
They have, at times, also garnered some exciting evidence for us -- one of the most astounding and frightening will be featured in the Jester's Court episode.
Episodes include investigations in Peterborough and the Greater Peterborough Area. However, we are not limited to this area. We have traveled, and will continue to travel, across the province. So far we've visited numerous communities including Ottawa, Cornwall, Port Perry, Scugog Township, and Cobourg. We continue to look for new sites to investigate. Reports of hauntings can be sent to:
