Incorrect, - exhaust heat was actually less than conventional piston engines. Turbine engine used a pair of heat exchangers. Chrysler engineers were no dummies. This car was unsuccessful simply because it was too expensive to mass produce. That's all.

I think Free Enterprise will take-over when there are enough electric cars on the road. However, the trick will be if the battery packs can be changed out. They are not like standard car batteries, and it may not be possible.
