@mw2addictish Marching tubas are set on your shoulder, but wrapped exactly like a concert tuba with the leadpipe going a different way to reach your mouth.

These are sousaphones. They play in the same key, range, and style as tubas but are not tubas.

@threefootman The fourth is a compensating valve. If you learn different fingerings from the normal 3 valve system (which can still be used on a 4 valve instrument), it will play certain notes (usually those that incorporate the 3rd valve) more in tune than using the usual valve combinations.

@mw2addictish Oh yeah, and there are still a lot (if not most) highschool bands that march convertible tubas which are regular, upright concert tubas that have a detachable leadpipe that can be repositioned so the horn can be set on the shoulder to play.

@TheSquarepantz A bass trombone is just like a tenor bone, but with a trigger to drop the pitch. They can play high just as easily as a tenor though. This looks more like a simple F attachment though, not a bass bone.

It is a Tenor/Alto horn. Both names refer to the same instrument, usually it's Tenor if you're British and Alto for most other countries. To avoid confusion, I call them Eb Horns since they are keyed E-flat.

I can almost play this on baritone/euphonium.

@shallpion That would actually be punishment with that in her mouth... I've eaten ghost peppers before and if mixed with a liquid (spit, pepper juice, water, milk), it can burn just to get on your skin...
