- Born in Mexico City
- Azul started as a gymnast at the age of 7.
- At the age of 11 she started diving at the A.O.F.M in Mexico City without knowing how to swim.
- She entered to the national team at the age of 15.
- She became absolute national champion in 2000 qualifying for the olympic games.

- junior National Champion form 1992 to 1997 (1m, 3m and platform)
- "Premio Estatal" for the best athlete of Mexico City in 1994 (at the age of 13)

- Olympic Finalist at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, representing Mexico (8th place at 10m synchronized, 13th place at 3m springboard)
