The most powerfull meso-american empire of all time the term "Aztec" actually defines three alliances wich are the Mexicas of Tenochtitlan, Acolhua of Texcoco and Chalca of Chalco, this empire rose to it's great strength in less than 200 years, the created huge works of art largy based on the influence of Teotihuacan wich was an empty empire left abandonned.

The Aztecs greatest acomplishment's where the aztec calendar with is the base of today's commen calender in most of the world and there theory of zero, wich gives meaning to the number 0.

The Aztecs had a militant side and also a poetic side, they where also astronomers.
The Aztec capitol of Tenochtitlan was said to bring shame to any European city, the Aztecs main city consisted of markets, courts housing, their system was basicly a sort of democracy where each small tribe in the empire would elect a representative and then 3 of the main representatives would talk to the Aztec ruler at the time.

Most of the Aztecs were killed (The genocide of the American Natives was the largest genocide of all history, which until this day is not officially recognized as a genocide by the world court, wow what a surprise, it's mainly influenced by whites.)

This present day there is still some Mexicas who still worship the Mexica beleifs and over 1 million Mexicans speak nahualt wich is the main language of the Aztecs, most aztec-descent people are mestizos who have been turned into catholics through the process of rape, torture and death.
