Based in Brooklyn, Cheryl has performed in Singapore and New York as well as her native Malaysia. Most recently she has been heard with the hip hop group Blue Belts, the Sam Friedman Quartet and with companies OperaOggiNY and Festival of Fools. In Kuala Lumpur, she sang with the Young KL Singers and was seen in the original Broadway Parodies Lah and An Enemy of the People.
Longtime friends Davina & Az have worked together off & on since they met back in 2002. This project however is the first time they've collaborated in a long term creative project. Davina brings together her writing, acting, dance and theatre background & Az brings his music & poetry accompaniment experience. The result is an ongoing project that they are developing into a full hour-long theatre/performance piece.

Davina's profile spans over a decade as an actor, writer, events manager, dancer, host and voice-over artiste. Notable stage performances include the roles of 'Mother' / 'Aunt Mary' in Paula Vogel's HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (The Oral Stage, 2008) and 'Jan' in the Malaysian staging of Singaporean playwright Desmond Sim's THE SWIMMING INSTRUCTOR (KLPac, 2009). In 2011, she appeared as 'Texas' in Kander & Ebb's CABARET (PAN Productions), in the dance ensemble for Malaysian blockbuster musical THE SECRET LIFE OF NORA (Enfiniti Vision Media), and as 'Charity' in the critically acclaimed Australian-Malaysian collaboration, murder mystery KLUE, DOH! (Terryandthecuz Productions).
For four months until January 2011, Davina was based in Burma as an English newscaster for Myanmar International TV. Her work included official news coverage of Burma's first general elections in 25 years and the subsequent release of political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi. Davina's extensive contribution to the Malaysian entertainment industry earned her a place in Klue Magazine's 2010 edition of its 20 Under 40 list, and Female magazine's 50 Gorgeous People 2010: All Stars Edition. Davina was most recently seen in English-language indie film RELATIONSHIP STATUS, written and directed by Khairil M Bahar, in selected Malaysian cinemas in January 2012.

Guitarist-Composer Az Samad has performed in the United States, Europe and Asia. A versatile musician who has appeared on sixteen CDs (seven of which are his solo releases), Az has worked with Grammy winners Flaco Jiménez and Max Baca, drummer Bernie Dresel (Brian Setzer Orchestra), singer-songwriters Tara Linda and Reza Salleh, guitarists John Stowell, Stuart Ryan, and Teja Gerken; world music ensemble Bogofusion; electronic jazz-funk group Planet Loop; Cumbia-Dub band Candelaria; and string jazz ensemble JazzMine. He has also performed as part of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in sold-out performances and worked with conductors Richard Kaufman (USA) and Mark Fitz-Gerald (UK).
As an educator, Az has been on the faculty of Berklee College of Music's Summer Guitar Sessions and has taught workshops at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut; Culturefest in Pipestem, West Virginia; and The Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, California. Az believes in contributing back to the society that has supported his music efforts. His music outreach program starts off with scholarship student Irena Taib of The Impatient Sisters fame. Earlier this year, he embarked on his first European tour with California-based Tara Linda & The Tortilla Western Trio performing in the Folk Segovia Festival, Spain & a 3-night residency at Töpferei Niehenke, Hasbergen, Germany. The Amsterdam Recordings - his first solo electric fingerstyle guitar album was recorded during the tour. Previously based in Berkeley, California; Az now lives in Kuala Lumpur.
