Wow, so many people hung up over the number and position of mics. ha ha ha..The simple answer is by using one or two mics, they could hear each others voices better and fine tune the volume and harmony and blending of their voices in relation to the others....Has nothing to do with BS about anyb...

@buriedinvinyl In folk music and bluegrass music, it has always been a tradition to use one and at the most two mikes........the singers lean in to control the volume of their voices as part of the mix of three part and sometimes four part harmony...

RIP Kenny.....Played with Kenny many many times (bass) and he was one of funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of playing with.......He would announce that he was going to play "If I could be with you one hour tonight" and then go into a Brooklyn accent and say "If I could wit you one hour...

Oh God, do I love this......reminds me of when I was little, listening to a large battery operated radio and tuning in "clear Channel" WSM on Saturday nights (we had no electricity). Patty does this kind of heritage music proud......God bless her for it....She is the best there is at it.

To those that dont feel this is special....my response is....OK, you try playing it...I consider myself a pretty good Chet style player, but have been trying to master this one for four decades and cannot come even close to doing this one justice.

This song with Buddy Emmons playing Pedal Steel Guitar is the reason I bought a pedal steel...Had no idea Sid played Pedal Steel....He Did Buddy Emmons proud....You played it beautiful Sid !!!!!!! "Someday Soon" ...I will be able to play this as well as Sid....lol...
