@CCshinez Yes, I am using it to deep condition. But the Shikakai's astringent properties will still cleanse. My scalp feels very clean afterward. It takes care of any product buildup that I may have had.

@NappyNFree Enhanced hair growth - more growth over time. I take the tonic 2x a day in water in addition to multivitamins, drinking seaweed smoothies (algae is good for growth too), and my ayurvedic pastes with Shikakai, Dabur Vatika Oil, and Karishma Herbal Henna.

Your daughter is adorable:) I blend the Shikakai and Neem with Dabur Vatika Oil, yogurt, honey and rosemary oil. In addition to ayurvedic pastes/ gloss I also take a hair tonic orally - it has Bhringraj as the main ingredient. You can get it at Lakshmi's Cupboard (an online store).
