About Musings from a Change Agent
An institutional radical for well over 30 years, I've a little to say about the banality of our bankrupt social service delivery system and the feminization of an entire process

radicalized by the writings of R.D. Laing, Saul Alinsky, and Marx, (during and following 1.8 combat tours in Viet Nam with the USAF and the 2MOB) I've been a post MSW social worker for in excess of 30 years. I'm 61+; single; never married; have no children; and a fun loving blues man....My muscial roots go back well before John Mayall and the Blues Breakers and are rooted in Chicago blues by the likes of Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, etc., etc., etc.
Now, semi-retired and holding controlling interests in certain Caribbean based endeavors as well as a couple of summer music festivals, I had been underemployed and not liking it one bit. I did not "...go quietly into the night...." as Mr. Charlie would have me. I exposed internal shams wherein the State agency responsible for processing assistance applications was falsifying the application date in the computer system so as to show the processing of applications as timely. Following that, the idiots still sent me internal memos which allowed me to document a trail of illegal state spending of Federal dollars which was in excess of $54 million. What a hoot! Four Federal audits later; 17 political hacks "quietly" leaving their cushy jobs, I'm idly waiting for the 5th audit as I spend my fortune. It's fun being me. I do own all the travel back and forth between Grand Cayman and the USA is now rather boring and anymore doing as little as possible is fine by me.
Now, promoting acts such as bluesman Michael Burks, Jimmy Thackery, Guitar Shorty, Popa Chubby, and a couple of other bluesmen, I remain wondering what is next. My icon picture is my little girl, a '73 Tele Deluxe which is backed by a '68 or so Twin Reverb. Preferring the '68 Tele Thinline, however, I've finally put her away as playing at volume is a bit much. The 'Tele Deluxe does just fine at 6.5.....
