@wmbrown6 The only one I know of would be AW's announcer (and sometime NBC/WNBC announcer) Bill Wolff, and we haven't heard his voice regularly in around 25 years. So far no obit news about him. I would guess if that sad news came at least the NY Times would have something.

That's definitely the late Hal Simms doing the voiceover. He was a long-time CBS announcer probably most known for his announcing of the opens/closes of "The Edge of Night" from 1972 to the mid-late 70s when the show quit using announcers. Simms died in 2002, and got a brief but nice radio obit...

@Sheri451 Edge used the Cincinnati skyline (where the actual city in this video is) for "Monticello" until the logo/theme change in 1980, then L.A.'s skyline was used till the last logo/theme change.

@meryemhallo1993xl I am sorry to say, that you have missed some greatness.... surely there are samples of his work around the internet here or there. Ed Bradley was **truly** the personification of a journalist. Amazing, its been 5 years and still, he is very much missed.
