I would say God can prevent evil but he refrains from doing so because if he prevented every terrible act of mankind then it really woulden't be called freedom of choice. I think man is evil and God is doing everything he can for the good of mankind by his spirit thru others. When I was sixteen, I was afraid to combat the clearly fallacious and often facetious statements my high school classmates would spew.
