One Autistic Man and His Electric Bass Guitar
About Me:
I'm generally open to most forms of music and I enjoy playing and learning various styles of electric bass, but I want to get into more 70s disco/funk and swing/jazz type electric bass playing. I also love playing as a solo instrumentalist, especially during my own practice time at home.
I want to start or join and play bass guitar in a band or music-related entertainment project in the future, especially one that is family-friendly and disability-friendly, but I don't have any good ideas on how I can achieve this. I basically want to show the rest of the world out there that a person like me with autism/AS can be a very gifted and talented bass guitarist and can make any type of music sound very funky! So if anyone here has any suggestions, simply E-mail me or post a message here.
Interestingly, I found that I am more used to playing and jamming along with female musicians, which is not surprising because I even had some tuition and help from a couple of female bass guitarists in the past, so it would be excellent to meet and have regular bass riff-exchanging duet-jam fun with any interested bass-chick in the Melbourne area.
