Our school is founded upon the principle of personal transformation. The concept of personal transformation is kept ambiguous for the purposes of allowing the practitioner to decide what it is they would like to achieve during the course of their training. Some focus on the physical benefits of training, while others may focus on the emotional or psychological. Everyone also has the opportunity to experience the spiritual side to the martial arts--the reflective and contemplative experiences that connect all of us with the divine, God, grace, or simply a greater consciousness.

Primary to every level of these experiences is the phrase, in Russian, "Poznai Sebia", which translates as, "Know Yourself". The philosophy of Systema is a core and guiding principle to the martial arts training experience at our school.
