...my "Crash and Burn" vid is not so much implying a romantic relationship between them as Lulu FANTASIZING about him.

In FFX, Lulu flirts a lot, looking to move past loss. But when Tidus suggests Wakka she is offended. When Tidus makes a pass at her, she says she'll add him to her list. Who's on the list, if not them? The guys back in Besaid don't seem her type. And Lulu would have to be blind not to notice that Auron is shrewd, dangerous, and sexy, things that suit her tastes. So I'm guessing Auron was on her "list." It explains her amused, "good luck little boy, you'll need it," when Tidus flirts with her.

Auron had bigger things on his mind than romance, and probably would have ignored any come-on. (Although he grins the one time she flirts with him.)

Yet I love the tragedy that Auron could have found a strong woman worthy of him, and Lulu could have found a a match for her formidable personality and wits, if only he weren't doomed before they'd met.

aftk13 - Fandom is a funny thing; it's very common for fans to imagine pairings or relationships.

The game simply implies a professional, mutual respect between Auron and Lulu. It assigns them the Mars and Venus sigils, as if they're connected, the same way Tidus and Yuna get the Sun and Moon. They have a lot in common and seem to back each other up, especially late in the game. I see them as the mentor figures for Tidus and Yuna, the experienced guardians looking after the others and keeping Yuna's best interests at heart. They're comrades-in-arms, professionals. Not lovers.

Nevertheless, they are two strong characters who complement each other, so sometimes it's fun to explore the relationship they have as the game presents it... or imagine "what if?"

I notice you have alot of vids where you hint at auron and lulu being connected. theres no personal connections, except for being yunas guardians. is it because they are the classic mage-and-warrior-combo of the story or because you realy think they should be together? I get your philosophy of lulu flirting with death but common its auron.
