This track was originally written by Red Hayes and Jack Rhodes. Hayes explained the origin of the song in an interview: "The song came from my mother. Everything in the song are things I heard her say over the years. I put a lot of thought into the song before I came up with the title. One day my father-in-law asked me who I thought the richest man in the world was, and I mentioned some names. He said, 'You're wrong, it is the man with a satisfied mind.'" He added: "It has been done a lot in churches. I came out of the Opry one night and a church service was going on nearby. The first thing I hear was the congregation singing 'Satisfied Mind.' I got down on my knees."
The song has been covered by a variety of well-known artists.

MILAN - FashionTV features the Dsquared2 collection for Milan Men's Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013 with designers Dean and Dan Caten getting everything in order for the big runway. "It's all about our neoclassic, revisit to the 60s. The 60s were kind of a moment in men's fashion when I think men were really cool and I think an iconic Dsquared2 man is kind of a cool rebel, neoclassic, understated student", the duo tell FashionTV, finishing each other's sentences. Dsquared2 goes back to the classroom with their collection, which features a sort of Dsquared2 bad boy walking down the runway after being tired of sitting in a classroom. There's an actual classroom built in the backdrop of the set. The men wore a mix of modern sportswear and military but with a preppy feel (argyle, crisp pants) and a colorful 60s vibe. There were also navy, green, and camel colors, leather, shearling, and signature Dsquared2 denim with studs, of course.
