I downloaded this on Napster so long ago and then was ecstatic when I found the DG cd on ebay when it had been discontinued. I had given up on a high quality video of this on youtube. Now here it is. I'm literally weeping as I type this!

Medtner is one of my favorite composers. I believe at one point I had all of his concerto recordings. I love the concertos but I'm not sure if they are ever going to be popular as they are hard nuts to crack. But I do believe his Op38 Forgotten Melodies will become part of the standard repertoir...

I know Scarbo is notorious for it's difficulty but is it that much harder than Ondine? I always find the unevenous of a technique even more obvious in Ondine.

@MrPiano90 Thanks for the upload. My favorite movement of my favorite recording. Music need not be complex to be beautiful. This is a fine example of minimalism with devastating results. Absolutely sublime!
