Seizing the Seven Summits
An atlasmydog Youtube channel original video series that tells the story of a man nomadically making his way from Lake County Road 301 in Two Harbors, MN to Canada via the Superior Hiking Trail, county roads, and Highway 61, the scenic North Shore.
Troubled early with an overly ambitious schedule, it is found that things must change, secondary options employed and failure accepted. But it is only after an early realization that this journey truly begins.
The Superior Hiking Trail was made available to hikers in 1986. In honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary, the Superior Hiking Trail Association challenged hikers with a "Seven Summits Challenge," where there were seven peaks chosen for hikers to venture to, be it in the Sawtooth Range, Duluth, or Superior National Forest.
Ted Graham, from Omaha, NE, chose to spend three weeks making an effort to accomplish this challenge. Set out from bus to taxi to truck to foot, Ted succeeds at persistence and drive as he works hard at completing this task.
